Message of love from mother to daughter

Today is the most important day of our lives. It’s so  important because it brings us both to a most crucial fork in the road. Today “you” my little girl become a woman. This the beginning of all your tomorrows, your childhood dreams will  become memories while the young woman you are becoming reaches for the stars.

From this point forward your goals for the future must be placed in the proper prospective. There is nothing out of your reach, anything you desire or can conceive in your mind is attainable. Seventeen years ago I conceived you, I was unaware of the change you would bring to my life and the responsibility involved with the birth of a child.

I was blessed to have a mother who understood life far better than I, although we couldn’t communicate our innermost feelings very well I recognized her love for me. As you grew inside my body I shaped your character, what you are today is a product of who I am. My understanding, moral values, my failures and my successes.

I’ve never been secure in my role as a mother to you, however; I’ve tried to be what your needs required. There are times when I feel I’ve cheated you of important elements in your growth. Elements a loving father brings to the family. Yet, as a family we were blessed with togetherness.  All this is probably unimportant to you now but hopefully it will help you later in life.

You have gone through some challenging experiences in your brief years of life but they will not compare to what you will experience if you don’t invest in learning who you really are. Examine yourself, know what you like and what you dislike, know your needs from your desires, what makes you happy as well as what causes you pain. Your life should be better than mine, your expectations higher because your sacrifices will be greater than mine could every be.

Sharing is a beautiful experience which grows in it’s intensity the more  you give  of yourself. Remember to love others freely you must first love self. You are in a cocoon soon to blossom into a beautiful butterfly; a fragile and gentle creature of the universe. It is time for you to learn & analyze what is said, think before you speak, to understand  & be considerate of others and to indulge in experiences that are enriching to your life.

On this special day my gift is the hope that when you reach the next step in your life journey and for whatever the reason I am not there you will be able to find your way without me. Search for the lesson in every situation, with a determined mind you can overcome any obstacle. Understand your choices and be willing to accept the consequences of your actions.

Maintain a humble spirit as you acquaint yourself with the games people play. Be willing to accept the positive as well as the negative traits of the travelers in your life, allow them the space to be themselves; not who you think they should be. Learn to acknowledge disappointment without bitterness , take no pleasure in the heartache of others and wipe the tears of those who are weaker then you.

Continuously seek knowledge, exemplify positive energy as you learn to control negative urges. You will be in love many times. A childhood sweetheart, a teen age crush and as a woman, but it is most important to remember your greatest love affair should be with your Creator. When you choose to share your life with a mate look for those qualities which are important to your growth as an individual and as a couple. Make God the center of your relationship.

Be willing to give up the luxury of being selfish, totally independent, lazy sometimes, be willing to acknowledge and accept his faults as you do your own. Invest in yourself, your family and your future free from the fear of what tomorrow might present to you. Don’t be afraid to give of yourself and remain open and receptive of the gifts others bring to you. This letter is a tangible expression of my love for you. My heart will be eternally linked to yours and your pain will always be my pain. So fly my little butterfly, fly. You will always be my first love.

Fortification

Warfare is a planned event, the enemy studies his opponent before he launches his first strike. He looks at the strengths of his adversary and he looks for his weaknesses. He knows he has no chance of victory without preparation.

Considering the first strike may not be enough to accomplish the task, he plans for either a short battle or a long siege depending on the out come of the first strike. While he is in the planning stage he evaluates his own vulnerability and fortify s  his position against any retaliation that might come in response to his actions.

He must be constantly on the attack to gain victory. As children of the Most High God we have such an enemy. His objective is to win at all cost.He attacks on many fronts; the home & family, the mind & body, and our faith and trust just to name a few. Nothing is off limits too him.

Doubt is one of his greatest weapons, it creeps in under the radar then begins to grow until we become unsure of who we are  and what we believe. Confusion is another weapon he uses to distract and clutter the mind. When we are confused we lose the ability to see clearly how we are being misdirected.

We can’t seem to understand the why of the situation; which is so important to the resolution of the matter. Then comes anger, he now attacks the emotions. When anger is present there is no control. We do and say things that hurt each other; even the ones we love. When words are spoken in anger it is hard to heal the pain they cause. The enemy uses this pain to keep our minds lingering on the hurt, perpetuating the problem.

If we have no defense against anger; rage raises it’s ugly head and our actions become unpredictable and irrational. We fail to recognize our responsibility in the situation, we try to justify our actions rather than accept the part we played in creating the problem. We want to appear to be the victim not understanding both are victims of the enemy,  he has you just where he wants you. Destruction is eminent if there is no change.

As Gods children we are taught to be angry, but sin not. We know we are in a battle that requires daily preparation, our battle strategy begins with prayer which fortify s us for whatever the day brings. We clothe ourselves with the light of love, we walk with the Holy Spirit and we are guided by the word of God. We are covered under the Blood of sacrifice, but who have you warned?

We are not the only ones fighting the battle, all are the Fathers children though some have gone astray. Will you let them perish knowing you can help them?Someone must show them the way to the light. Those who are trapped in darkness may need you to pull them to safety, one hand reaching for another. Shelter from the battle is available to all who wish to defect.

The enemy will not let go of his captive without a fight to maintain control. Resistance is the key, the word says “resist the devil and he will flee”. You must first be fortified by the redeeming blood of Christ Jesus. Without the right weapons for the battle defeat is certain. We must make no mistake our enemy is a formidable opponent who uses our human experiences against us if we are not grounded in the truth. Not truth as you see it from your prospective but the truth as God has declared it too be.

We must be willing to forgive as we want others to forgive us, we must be accountable for what we have said and done,we must recognize our need for a saviour, and surrender to his transforming love.By allowing him to remold our lives into his character we accept his fortification and the victory over sin is won.

The Twilight hour

I’m sure we have all had times in our lives when we seem to be in limbo. The direction we need to take is unclear and we are perplexed by the choices we have before us. We try to weigh the consequences of each choice before we make our decision. Yet, we find we are still without answers.

It is in these moments in life we need to find a quiet place, lift our hearts to the Father, leave all our concerns behind and listen with our hearts. Once we still ourselves; block out all the distractions, our hearts are open to receive and our ears to hear, He will speak.

We may have to wait until the noise of this world is silent or in the twilight hours when all is still and nature is at rest. The Father doesn’t slumber nor sleep, he is always awaiting our communion with him. He stand ready to speak peace to our confusion, shed light on our pathway and give us clear instructions.

It is in those quiet moments we hear him clearly. The white noise of the world cannot interfere with the receiving of his truth as  he speaks life to every fiber of our being. As the filament lights up the bulb giving light to a dark room, his love saturates all the darkness that surrounds us bringing renewed strength and hope of victory.

All our perplexities will be removed and we will break forth like the morning sun, vibrant and assured with greater focus knowing the Father has made the road ahead smooth. There is something very special that happens when we meet with the Father at twilight that makes the new day spectacular.

Misplaced Trust

There once was a man who had a dream, a dream for all mankind. He saw a future world where man was color blind. The colors in the crayon box had melted from the sun and all different colors became one. A rainbow that equally displayed all it’s many hues,a sight that radiated beauty from every view.

What a shame it was just a dream where all men could truly be the men they were created too be. The spark their creator placed inside would bloom for the good of all mankind. But some of the soil was tainted, the seed of love could not grow. Only God can read the heart so the people didn’t know those they gave the power to rule would misplace their trust.

The plan to better the world for the common man was sold to the highest bidder;so the rich stayed rich ,the poor stayed poor, and there no longer is a middle. Honesty sold himself to anyone with money to buy, justice turned her head and closed her eyes.Leaders over the world fight each other for more power, while their people suffer they live in their Ivory towers.

Why do we trust them to do what is right for the masses? Power brings pride, selfishness, corruption and greed. Though we know our leaders don’t lead,we still fail to take heed. They have no consequences for their failure to lead. We the people have the power God gave all the right to choose.

Your choice will determine if you will win or lose. It’s time to stop making the same mistake by trusting those who only know how to take and take. We have been conditioned to except the pain, that our voices don’t count and things will never change. The message to our leaders must be loud and clear. We stand united in the dreams we hold dear.

Changes must be made if our trust they desire, no longer will we accept empty promises meant to inspire. It’s time to put on our thinking caps, demand what is right from those we elect. This country was formed on blood and sweat,we must stop putting it in the hands of those who are out to get all they can get.

Their bills are paid with money to spare, while we struggle from pay check to paycheck. Time to read between the lines before you decide who is worthy of your trust.Don’t be confused by the rhetoric they speak, be honest with yourself. If the message they bring is not one of unity how can your dreams come true?

Whatever affects most of the people will eventually affect you, so be careful who you choose. Your value of life will depend upon those you select to rule.

Resting In Peace

How do we rest in peace when turmoil surrounds us, around every corner there is strife. The news is bleak and all media sings a song of doom. Some one has taken the lives of many because of their misguided concept of what is right  or wrong, then given up their own life for a unworthy cause.

Our children are being desensitized by the games they play, the music they hear and what they see on a daily basis. No longer do they understand the value of life, that death is final and not a game that you can return to play again. When did such a prize possession as life become such a worthless commodity in the eyes of man.

Why do we so easily take what we are not capable of giving back. The answer is clear to the eye that is seeking truth. The ruler of this world rejoices each time someone becomes so entangled in darkness they can no longer tell truth from error. They become to him cattle ripe for slaughter.

Because they have no defenses against his onslaught they succumb to his deception. He entices them to commit all manner of evil, he is a raging lion seeking to destroy all he can.Where can we find refuge from this great adversary? How do we rest in peace? Many use this term to say farewell to those who have left the stage of life.

A fitting end to their last curtain call, the sleep of death. R.I.P. signifies the end of turmoil, stress, and pain.  No more to be concerned with the cares of this world. However, we are taught by the word of God this is just a temporary slumber. Those who sleep in Jesus the Christ will be awaken at the trumpet blast when he returns, never to sleep again but have eternal life with him.

For some this term means a quiet night of rest awaking rejuvenated to start a new day. The secret to peaceful rest is not where you rest, when you rest,or how you rest but is found in whom you rest in. When we give our lives to the One who redeemed and forgave our transgressions  we no longer fear death.

We know he holds us in the palm of his hands, our slumber will be but a short season before he wakes us from sleep. The problems of the world will no longer have any importance. We will rest peacefully in the arms of a loving Father until the adversary of souls is eliminated from the earth and peace is restored for all time.

Last Hope

When was the last time someone said to you”you’re my last hope”because they faced an obstacle and needed your help? To them their circumstances was at a critical stage and their options were exhausted. This was their final cry for relief, you their last option.

Maybe you have found yourself in this position and had to call on someone as your last avenue of hope. These two words have a strong impact on our lives, they denote finality. The situation has gone from bad to worse, your back is against the wall and you have no idea what you should do to resolve the problem.

It’s funny how loosely we use the word HOPE without giving much thought to it’s meaning.  We hope the sun will shine or it will not rain,we hope we will not be late for work or school, we hope we can attend a sports event or concert and there are times we say we hope we can get a good nights rest.

We are all guilty of this but this little word has a far greater value than the trivial way we use it. It is the thread we cling to which connects us to the power source of all creation. It brings comfort knowing we are never fighting our battles alone. It extends beyond our scope of vision to the realm of possibilities.

It partners with faith to solidify the promises of a loving Father to his children. It announces a strong desire for the realization of current or future events. The journey we are traveling on the Earth requires strong cords of hope and faith to keep us from falling off the path into the abyss of darkness.

Jesus is that card of hope, faith in him assures our victory over whatever circumstances we may face. When we call out for help from family and friends they will not always be in a position to assist us. When we go to the Father in the name of the Son; unexpected doors open. We receive what is  needed, when we need it most.

We are told in his love letter to us, his word; we only need ask then trust he will provide. We must remember in this world which is rapidly changing; hate and violence abound, love grows colder with each passing day, unbelief is escalating and selfishness reigns. God’s son, Jesus the Christ is truly our LAST HOPE.

View from the Top

He peers through the portals of time to a world formed long ago, it’s grandeur once a delight for the eyes now scarred by trouble and woe. Generation after generation have lost respect for his name, each giving honor to their own claim to fame.

Nature is losing her beauty a faint glimpse of what she was in the beginning remains. The stench of sin floats on the breeze distorting the sweet fragrance the flowers bring. The rain no longer fresh and clean is filled with all manner of things from the pollution created by mans dreams.

Our world is slowly dying as it’s creator watches with his heart crying. The plague of sin is on the rise again and hate is thriving everywhere, it seems that people no longer love but enjoy causing pain and despair. The weak are trodden under foot, justice has taken flight, and those that have want more while others have not.

When will the change in man begin? what will it take for this madness to end? I heard the answer whistling through the trees it won’t be long, I’m coming again. Tell everyone foe or friend the time is winding down and i’m coming again. If they have forgotten my will and my ways, now is the time too seek my face.

Only I can redeem and restore with saving Grace but if they wait until my return it will be too late. Those who have chosen to follow my lead will walk with me into eternity. Those who choose too idly stand by have made their decision and choose to die. In them no light can exist and death to sin is the consequence.

Darkness has taken control of these souls who missed their opportunity to be made whole. When I return a new world I’ll bring where my Father will rule and Love will reign. We will live forever with man and sin shall never rise again.

This was my revelation as I sat by the pool of Grace.

The word of God

I heard it said “the word of God doesn’t break and will never die”. However; there are places in the world today where the inspired word of God is not well received. The enemy has blinded the people and distorted the truth of Gods word. Confusion reigns in the minds of those who reject  the truth, for Gods word is the elixir of life.

Yet, God so loved his creation he sent his word in the flesh as a living breathing example of his love and truth. Gods character displayed that all would learn of him as his word lived before them. The word rich in love, compassion, forgiveness, strength and failure for those who turn from it’s principles.

Jesus the Christ, the word made flesh taught these principles as he walked with men. He healed those in pain, comforted those in sorrow, forgave those who had sinned, and feed the hungry. When we open the word of God we are opening a wealth of trans formative power. Power that changes harden hearts, power that opens closed eyes, power that restores and power to defeat the enemy.

When we search its pages we will find the will of the Father for his children. It is our road map to a successful life. He will not force us to read it nor are we forced to accept it’s principles, there is a choice we must make. The way to the Father is through the son. The enemy of the Father reigns on the earth where we reside and will stop at nothing to keep us from learning and sharing the word of God.

He has first hand knowledge of the wonders of God. It was his pride and desire to be God that caused him to be banned from the Heavenly courts. He forgot he too was a created being. He knew the truth of Gods principles and the Harmony in Heaven before his pride cause disharmony . He and all his followers were cast out of Heaven. Lost forever.

Gods inspired word was a gift to man,a weapon against the destroyer. Only when we search the word with our whole heart will we be rewarded with the amazing transforming power of his love found in its pages. The enemy tried to kill it with the death of Christ on the cross.Death was defeated when he rose in 3 days with all power in his hands. The enemy has been defeated, Christ and his word live forever and ever.

Losing the battle wining the war

The battle is raging, the casualties are mounting and the cause seems to be lost. It appears the enemy can’t be defeated. We reside in a world that is no longer our home. It’s ruler is a raging Lion with a plan to devour everything in it’s path. His anger toward the Creator of All has caused him to declare war on the creator’s prize possession; Man .

The call went forth for warriors to carry the banner of our God,too light the darkness with the knowledge of his truth. Only through the sharing of his love and sacrifice can the enemy be defeated. As his soldiers we must not be deterred by those who leave the battlefield. Everyone will not we willing to give all they have to the battle.

Some will grow weak being overcome with the pleasure the world offers. Some will be overcome with fear and leave the fight. When we join the army of God we must be prepared to stand strong until the end of the war. We will sometimes lose the battle in order to win the war, but we must never stop fighting.

The enemy has surrounded us with a smoke screen for he knows he is a defeated foe.His objective is to cause as many as he can to lose hope and faith in their general, Jesus the Christ. In Jesus we have the strength to stand against the siege of the enemy. We are fortified by his Holy word and guided by his Holy spirit.

Each day we must put on our battle gear, pray for guidance, and go forth vigilant; watching for the traps of the enemy. Know that the enemy will not give up the fight to capture your allegiance. He will use every method he can to deceive you, distract you and defeat you. We must keep our minds stayed on Jesus and he will keep us from the hour of temptation.

He knows that we may fall prey to the enemy, but he can reclaim us from his grasp, clean us up and restore us to our station in his army. We must trust that the general knows the best way to win the war, we are to be willing to fight the battles. We may be called to be a casualty, remember our general gave his life for us that we would be reconciled to his Father without sin.

When we enlisted in his army and gave him control of our lives,he became our protector, provider, and redeemer. Should we fall in battle as he was resurrected to life so shall we be resurrected to life and clothe in his robe of righteousness. The war is won, it was won by the blood stained cross of Calvary; but the fight for souls continues.

The way has been made

When one embarks on a journey they carefully plan how they will travel, what they will take with them, when they will leave and most important how much it will cost to make the trip. The direction of travel is also important depending on what the final destination is to be.

All along the road you see mile markers, speed limit signs, and information to replenish the things you may need during the journey such as food, temporary shelter, and rest stops. The trip could be short or it may be long requiring many delays before arriving safely at your determined destination.

There will be rough roads, falling rocks, detours, switched signs, and blockages. Somethings are unpredictable and hard to avoid. From time to time life will throw you curve balls. Nothing seems to go the way you have planned. Navigating the way becomes toilsome.

Doubts begin to form in your mind, confusion tries to ensnare you and blur your decisions. You question if you have made the right choice, fret not; you are under attack. The enemy wants to consume your thoughts, keep you off guard and distract your vision. His goal is to keep you from realizing the way is already made.

Your Heavenly Father has removed all road blocks, covered the cracks in the road and paved them to a perfect finish. You may not see the finished product but you can be sure the Father’s ways are better than ours. He is meticulous even in the tiny details of your life. He hears the song of our hearts, he knows all our dreams and desires.

He desires his children to trust and believe he has already heard and answered our prayers before they leave our lips. Sometimes we will see instant results and sometimes we must wait. As we wait we must not lose hope or allow the enemy to distract us but we must stand firm in our faith knowing the way has already been made. Everything will work out for our good according to the Fathers will for us.
