Long dark night

As a child i remember being told that in Alaska it was dark for 6 months of the year and light for 6 months of the year. I found it hard to fathom being in the dark for that long a period, nor could i fathom having day without night for that long either.

I always wondered how would one function under these circumstances. As an adult i recognize we are designed in a way that allows us to adapt to whatever circumstances we find ourselves inudated with.

Being created in the image of a all powerful, intelligent and orderly creator we are endowed with certain traits of his character;however, they must be developed in each of us.

Many of us journey through life in that dark night of self, we attribute all that we are and do too our own knowledge, wisdom and power. We become the God of our own universe.

We have no light outside of self, the elements God placed of himself in us are not developed so we have no need of him.  Many journey through life seeking what they call enlightenment.

These live in the day but they too need to develop those elements the creator has placed in each of us of himself. They believe once a state of enlightenment is attained they become Gods. On some level this too is self exhausting.

Life however is about balance and order, when we watch nature it teaches how our creator is about balance and order. The moon rises at its appointed time after the sun has set at its appointed time. The season’s change at their appointed time and our lives begin and end at his appointed time.

It is through the development of God’s character within us we find balance in our lives. We have been given a guide to developing these traits in the Holy Spirit.  When we allow the spirit to do his work in our lives self is denounced and we come out of the dark night into the light of love found in Christ.

The holy spirit will lead those seeking to the true light that lights the whole world which we have in Christ our redeemer. We will attain balance when we give the reigns over to him who created life in us from the beginning.

As the dark night ends and day springs forth we will rejoice in praise to the only one worthy of praise; our creator. Our redeemer. Our God

No more tears

Didn’t know why, couldn’t explain just knew the tears kept running down my face. The sun was shining, bird’s where singing and a soft warm breeze floated by my window; yet, I couldn’t find the strength to get out of bed.

I kept asking myself what was wrong with me? It seemed life had just closed in without warning and everything was going wrong, now the tears won’t stop. We all at one time or another experience changes in our lives that causes us to feel this way.

Sometimes it’s broken relationships, sometimes it’s breaches in our families and sometimes the death of our loved ones. Even on the brightest day our hearts can be over come by rain clouds. Because we are emotional creatures we will experience this helplessness.

Our world is filled with so many things that effect our sensibilities causing us too wonder if life is even worth living? Decay is all around us; in our morals, family structure, personal relationships, in our government and in our places of worship.

“Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.” Throughout our life journey there will be nights of weeping, some beyond control; we do however have the promise of joy which comes after the rain in the form of a rainbow.

Beautiful colors that illuminate the sky making the heart smile, we have hope of no more tears,, no more death, no more trials, and no more pain. We have been assured by our loving Creator that this is our destiny when we have placed our lives in his loving hands.

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eye, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev. 21:4

Feed my flock

Life is a very precious gift, each breath taken assures us life is present. Each waking moment is an opportunity to make a difference in our world, our families, and in our own lives. Our lives are sustained by nourishment, clean air, fresh water, sunshine and the grace of a loving Creator.

Whenever any of these elements are denied or decreased the health suffers; the physical body is weakened and the mental health is impaired. Continual denial of any of these can eventually cause the demise of the body, life ceases to exist.

Just as it is important too give the physical and mental elements of man what it needs our spiritual man must be properly feed. In each of us there is a place in the heart that can only be filled by him. Once filled we are complete.

As the physical man is strengthen by nourishment, fresh water and clean air our spiritual man is strengthen by constant communication with the father, daily study of his word, and submission to the leading of his holy Spirit.

Jesus has commissioned us too lead others to him by the sharing of his story of unconditional love for lost souls. Sheep gone astray without a shepherd. He has said “I am the good shepherd, no one comes to the Father except through me.”

Those of us who have found their way to the light of love are to pass to those seeking the directions that they can find him. We are to feed the flock of which we are all members. The Shepard seeks more diligently those who have lost their way.

His desire is that all should be saved and reclaimed to dwell in safe boarders, however; he will not force us to accept his safety. We must choose to be his sheep and allow him to be our shepherd.

When one lost sheep returns to the fold the Shepard rejoices with all of heavens Angels for that lost sheep is more important than those who were not lost. As children of the most high we are to love our sister’s and brothers.

It is only by the Father’s  grace we are no longer lost sheep, so let the love of the father flow through us too feed the flock.

Hold on, I’m coming

There was a very popular tune some years ago which said “hold on I’m coming”my favorite line in the tune was “reach out to me for satisfaction, call my name for a quick reaction”.  Another tune that was well known was “ain’t no mountain high enough”, both indicated there was help waiting for the asking.

The uncertainty of life causes us to feel hopeless, despondent, and at times lost. Our problems seem insurmountable and unsolvable, we become submerged in the doubt we’ll never survive them. Nothing we do works out for our benefit. Everyone around us seem to prosper, worry free of life’s cares and woe.

We tend to put on our false face showing a smile to the world, while our heart is crying inside. We try so hard to solve our own problems without consulting the greatest problem solver. If we would just remember he has said ” take my yoke upon you for my yoke is easy and my burden is light” we would give him all our cares.

We would rest in the assurance he can handle them. During his time on the earth he spent his time solving the people’s  problems. Some he healed of blindness , some of deafness, some he raised from death and some he loses their tongues that they spoke.

His power came from constant communication with his Father. He has granted to us through his spirit access to him that we might receive help in times of trouble, healing when needed, and his joy in sorrow. So I say to you when your clouds are the darkest, lift your voice and call on his name then just ” hold on, he’s coming.

Your eyes are open, yet; you are blind!!

It is said”man is most vulnerable when he is secure in his own power to control himself”.  Often this gives the enemy of mankind the opportunity to mislead and and beguile him. The need to control other’s, the hunger for power, and the desire for wealth become his his weapons.

Those who seek these earthly attributes become his puppets, the heart is invaded by the dark nature of evil and self is lifted up. We are instructed to beware of these deceptions, the enemy is capable of displaying himself in a positive light.

History has taught us how easily we can be deceived. With open eyes we give our collective power to those who promise to work for the good of all. However, those we trust are blind too the needs of those they represent. “I before you” is their mates which often leaves “you” needing and wanting.

Power like evil is all consuming, only those whose hearts are filled and transformed by the blood of Christ will know how to use power for the good of all. When Christ is not present in the heart, man is controlled controlled by his own selfish desire to be great.

When evil is allowed to Reign in a position of power, all who don’t accept the evil will suffer. Evil knows no mercy, does not forgive, does not forget, it isn’t understanding and there is no truth in it. Morales decay, lies become true, confusion becomes normal and peace is obsolete.

The eyes of man are open yet he is blind too the destruction too come, injustice that is consuming our world, to power hungry leaders who decide what our lives will be, to the lawlessness that’s engulfed our society and too their own  blindness.

We are lost children submerged in the darkness  of sin, our vision is distorted we can’t clearly see the way to the light. We must wake from our slumber, recognize we need help too free us from this sin filled existence.

The answer is in the greatest power of all, the return of the king of kings and Lord of lords. He has defeated the enemy in times past and will totally eradicate him and his followers upon his return. The time draws near his return is imminent; will you be ready?

The signs of his coming are clear, so trouble not your self with the action of evil men for every man shall give account of his actions before the righteous judge of the universe. Time is short turn your eyes from evil and gaze  into the face of love, let your heart be consumed by it’s light, ask forgiveness and allow him to heal your blindness that you will see truth.

The time is now

Last year has died leaving only memories behind. The new year lies ahead giving way to great possibilities. Man has been given the opportunity to display what is imbedded inside his heart. It is said “from the heart the mouth speaks”.

But can the heart be trusted? Again it is said “the heart is deceitful, from it comes blessings and curses” this should not be. Only the love of God can change a heart. We consider the heart a symbol of love, yet; our actions are contrary to our profession.

We must remember the wolf can come in sheep’s clothing and his deception will cause many to be deceived then lost. It has been said ” if a man tells you who he is, believe him”.  The time is now too wake from sleep.

The time is now too take off blinders and see the true character of those you give your time and allegiance. Evil does not separate but will engulf all in its path. Only through the fortifications of Christ can there be clear vision.

Only through the Holy Spirit can the enemy be recognized and only through the power of God will he be defeated.  We must be alert at all times. He is very subtle, he shows himself to be the best for you on one hand while planning your demise on the other.

The time is now too seek the face of him who knows all and sees all, ask for wisdom and understanding, and strength to stand when the winds of evil begin too blow. We must be prepared for the war too come.

We must aide those who fall prey to the deceiver, give all we have to the service of the Father and brighten the world with the light of truth which is in Christ Jesus.

Street noise

Ever given any thought too street noise? In every city, town, or hamlet you will find the noise of life permeating the streets. During the daytime hours you can hear and see the hussell and Bissell of movement.

The sound of traffic, pedestrians rushing to and fro, children playing, work being done, and nature singing it’s song to the world. We are instructed to work while it is day for when night comes no man can work.

As the sun sets the street noise intensify, the night belongs to those who are comfortable dwelling in darkness. When nature closes her eyes to rest, evil awakens to prowell the night. Covered in the robe of darkness it seeks those it can distract, confuse and capture.

Music can be heard from bar lined streets, screams of innocent victims ring out, sirens screeching and horns blaring. For some it doesn’t matter day or night they are not affected. They have grown accustomed to the sounds accepting them as a normal way of life.

They fail to recognize the dangerous ground on which they tread. Then there are those who clothe themselves in the the light of love that they can function in the darkness of night without fear or falling prey to its allurements lurking to capture their attention.

They have found the secret to successfully triumph over the enemy. In the stillness just before day dawns, the noise subsides; the mind is clear, the heart open and the ears receptive the voice of the almighty can be heard in loving whispers shattering the stillness penetrating the heart.

It is when they meet him in the sweetness of this solitude they are strengthen for the new day and new battle with Street noise. Because they have basked in his presence they are fortified against plots or distractions of the enemy and any doubt that would cause separation from their power source.

When we are not prepared and see things as life as usual we fall prey to the deception of normalcy. We readily accept violence, hate, selfishness and Godlessness as the natural order of things not recognizing we have aligned ourselves with the enemy.

The noise of this  of life will not cease until our Redeemer returns and banishes evil therefore it is important that we are covered by his redeeming blood. Through his blood our eye’s can see clearly the snares of the enemy, our ears will hear his voice above the distracting noice of life and through his blood we can stand worthy of his reward.

What would you do over again ?

There comes a time in each life when we have too answer the question,”what have I accomplished with my life?”. At the end of each year we make resolutions to change the things that we think we could have done better.

We vow to become a better person than we were in the year that has passed. We review in our minds the time that has passed, the challenges we faced, the problems we overcame, old and new relationships, joy, sorrow, and our losses..

Sorting through our memories we try to decide what tokeep and what we should try to forget. Our next thoughts begin to focus on what the new year will bring. The challenges we will face and if we will be able to excel at whatever we set our minds to accomplish.

Many will consume their thoughts with worldly acquisition, meeting successful people, amassing great wealth, and being perceived as important. Others will recognize the new year as another opportunity for new life. A blessing from a loving Father  Creator to his children.

A chance to begin again,to seek out those we have hurt or offended, ask forgiveness, and show those we say we love that love in our actions. To share with others our blessings.  Develope a closer relationship with the father through the son.

Carry and leave the burdens of the old year at the foot of the cross then walk in the light of renewal and redemption. Beginning the year with prayer will set the tone for the rest of the year. Ask for direction , guidance in our decisions, and protection on our journey.

When we surrender our lives to him , he removes the stress life brings.. Our eyes are clear and his voice is heard above all the distractions of the enemy. No longer are we consumed by the temptations of this world, but we look forward to a eternal home.

May the love of the Father and his son surround you with their peace, joy and protection throughout this year.

An envelope of red

I sent the world a love letter in the form of my son enclosed in an envelope of red. It signified my love for you and the blood he shed. Your world today is far from what I intended it to be.

Filled with envy, greed, hate and bigotry, the eyes of man are clouded and I’m hard for him to see. The darkness may seem to cover my face hiding it from view but I’m still here with outstretched hands reaching out to you.

The light of love my son left behind continues to show the way, break the chains of darkness and chase the clouds away. He gives clear sight to those seeking light desiring to be renewed.

Open your heart to redemptive love freely available for you. Through his death on the cross,  he paid the price that set you free from sin. Giving the opportunity for you to start over again.

Turn away from the dark of night and choose to walk in the daylight. Let my love surround, redeem and renew; keep and protect your whole life through. Hold my hand as we walk the path never letting go.

The path won’t be smooth, the way might be long, at times you may feel you’re all alone, but fret not your heart.Stand in faith and be strong, you have my promise I will never leave you alone.

Remember the love letter sent to you in the envelope of red. A message of unconditional love, forgiveness and grace. Sent to a world gone astray, open the letter let it’s words fill your heart; accept the opportunity to make a new start.

My Christmas Prayer

I kneel tonight before your throne with concerns that fill my heart. So many of your people are alone and have no homes, children needing family, clothing and food. No one there to wipe away their tears or assure them all will be well, they see their lives as living in hell.

Today I spoke and smiled at a stranger passing by only to be greeted with a frown and sigh.Love seems to be fleeting and hope growing cold, no one seems to care; feeling they don’t belong.

My heart is saddened because so many have lost their way; afraid to love, afraid to care and some just afraid. I know your son came to light the way, to give us the courage to stand for those who are afraid. To show your love, forgiveness and grace to all who seek your face.

Help me to share your love with all that come my way, comfort and encourage others each and every day.Shower your children with blessings as it is your will to do, teaching us all that all we need we can find in you.

Open my eyes that I may recognise the pain my brother or sister is enduring, my ears that I can hear their silent cry for help and my heart that I may respond without being asked. Love is the only way to shine light into darkness.

Let your light shine through me as I travel along this journey. Keep my heart lifted up to your throne of grace, my head bowed down before your face and your Holy Spirit leading my way. I’m so thankful I can come to you in prayer.

Lay my burdens before your throne and leave my worries there. I have very little I can give to help my brother who is without so I lift him up before your throne to provide his needs, cover and protect, house and feed.

Fill his heart with your joy and love, please shine on him from above. It’s Christmas time we celebrate your wonderful gift of love. My heart now filled with joy is also filled with song. Thank you, Father God for listening and answering this prayer. Assuring my brothers and sisters that you are always there.
