from mess to masterpeice

As I sat watching the sunshine through a prism at the end of a wind chime moving slowly in a small breeze, the colors were mesmerizing as they were illuminated by the sun; I thought if that would break could it be restored to give the same display or would it be better? When you really think about it, a potter can take a lump of clay and make something beautiful, yet; it is not what he wanted it to be. He can take that thing and remold it into something he thinks is a masterpiece from what he thought was a mess.

A beautiful vase shattered on the floor is looked at as no longer useful, it is swept up and discarded. No one can see that in the right hands the mess can become a masterpiece. Life can appear just like that lump of clay or the shattered vase, it is unpredictable; sometimes it’s stable and sometimes it’s chaos, like the wind you never know which way it will go. Many of us live in a world of darkness nothing seems to go the way that is good or what is considered beneficial for growth. some live in what would be considered luxury because they seem to have everything they need and enough to share.

As I said life is unpredictable, today you’re on top of the world, but; tomorrow you could be destitute. You were not promised life would be a bed of roses and even the rose has thorns, each of us has been given the opportunity to learn from the Master teacher how to have an abundant life; Matthew 6:33 states” Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”. As the potter remolds the clay our Father Creator can remold our messy lives into a masterpiece when we place our brokenness in His hands.

Our heavenly Father knows what is best for His children and what our needs are before we ask, He has given us free choice and we must choose to be restored. There is nothing we can do or have done that would cause Him to turn away from accepting the task of restoration. Our mess is not to small or to big for Him to turn our mess into a masterpiece, He loves us all and considers us worthy of His attention. The question is are you willing to submit to the transformation?
